Let me go buy another 10 copies of it right now!

Funimation are keeping it in the US, and if Madman keep it in Australia, then it would cost Manga more money to replace it than it probably would to pay off the Gallaghers.

I... really don't understand that. So they have to pay for every instance the song is included on the disc? In which case couldn't they just create the opening as a single chapter and then have the disc play that same chapter before each episode?

That's a bit like having a CD with the same song repeated four times cost more than one with the song on once. When... y'know, you could just put your CD player on repeat...

That is odd. They can thank Eden Of The East for me getting their album, otherwise i wouldnt have known about their new stuff (i prefer the older Oasis albums) ;)

Well to be fair they at least tried a bit harder in regards to this unlike with Speed Grapher

I actually liked the new speed grapher op. You could tell it wasn't the original but at least it worked. The Eden op even has the song lyrics in the opening though. I think the song sets up the feel of the show or at least I thought so. I don't think it would be the same if you changed it.

No it doesn't, the lyrics in the OP are to a song that plays in one of the final episodes and have no relation to the Oasis song. The Production IG music video included with the first press Japanese single does, but the anime OP doesn't

It still can - but only for the first episode.
Does anyone know what the new international OP sounds like?

The OP is the Oasis song lyrics. You had me doubting my memory for a minute, but I've just compared both and it is the same. It's the lyrics from approximately the middle of the song and partly repeated later.

I've watched it through on Youtube again, and the Oasis lyrics do not appear in the OP at all.
Are you mad? The same lyrics are clearly in both.

Here's the full song lyrics. The OP lyrics are the second, third and fourth verses of this. As in the link you posted.
The summer sun, it blows my mind
Is falling down on all that I've ever known
Time will kiss the world goodbye
Falling down on all that I've ever known
Is all that I've ever known

A dying scream makes no sound
Calling out to all that I've ever known
Here am I, lost and found
Calling out to all

We live a dying dream
If you know what I mean
All that I've ever known
It's all that I've ever known

Catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly
I cried the rain that fills the ocean wide
I tried to talk with God to no avail
Calling Him in and out of nowhere
Said if You won't save me, please don't waste my time

All that I've ever known
All that I've ever known
It's all that I've ever known

Catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly
I cried the rain that fills the ocean wide
I tried to talk with God to no avail
Calling my name and out of nowhere
Said if You won't save me, please don't waste my time

The summer sun, it blows my mind
It's falling down on all that I've ever known
Time will kiss the world goodbye
Falling down on all that I've ever known
Is all that I've ever known

Um, could it be that one of you is talking about the sung lyrics and the other the text in the opening animation itself?
