Now that we’re up and running, our first important announcement for Minami Con14 – a new, improved con book. Following the consultation at Minami Con 13, we’ve decided to try a new approach to the con book: Minami Con 14 will use a CD. The CD offers a number of potential advantages over our traditional printed booklets:
1) Effectively unlimited space
2) full colour throughout – artwork and picture galleries
3) the ability to hold animations
The CDs will include a full colour printed inlay to a crystal case, and a Minami Con label. As a special bonus we’re looking at including all of the previous con books on the CD for completeness.
To help encourage contributions and answer any questions a new section of the forum specifically for the con book is opening for discussions. We will also be having competitions for articles, artwork, animations and for the CD cover itself.
