Midlands MCM Expo

Midlands Expo is quite a bit smaller and less crowded than London (or it was in the past).
The up side to this is that you can actually get to the stands and you feel a lot less claustrophobic, the down side is that the organisers don't seem to take it as seriously. Less than two weeks to go and very few announcements have been made about events and guests.
I mostly go as an excuse to cosplay tho, so this is fine by me! :)
 
I have to say, I never really go to Expo for the guests, so that's not really a factor for me. I go more for the huge market feel of it all and to shop.

Lol,that's part of my reason for going too!^_^I will be going as Renji from Bleach(including Zabimaru),who are you going as?
 
I'm re-using my Hinata Hyuuga (Naruto) costume, as I have a friend who I have managed to convince to come as Kakashi for his first cosplay :)
My group will be half Naruto and half Bleach though, so I'll be with a Hitsugaya and an Orihime as well. I'm looking forward to seeing your Renji!
 
That would be cool - I don't post on here much, but I lurk quite a lot, so it would nice to put some faces to the usernames I see so often!
 
I will be there at some point in the day, probably towards the end. I don't see the point of going to see guests who do bit parts in Dr Who and one who seems to be there everytime (some guests have been announced). Thankfully I only have a small travel time to get there. I would feel that it wasnt worth my time if I had to come too far.

I agree with you, the guests so far are disappointing and they are leaving it a bit late to announce any big names I think...hope I can be surprised! Am mainly going to meet some friends otherwise I wouldn't bother. I can see this event disappearing completely now they also own Memorablia.
 
im going i cant wait. i went last year and there was this creepy squirell man that was selling stuff teddy but he had this cute little squirell and he wudnt sell it me, i so one of the storm troopers came along (he kept followin me around the place to it was funny) came and snatched the squirell ou of his hands and chuked it lol i thought it was a laugh.
im cosplayin as aerith this year, its gonna be fun. yay

That sounds like a fairly disturbing sequence of events,but then again it is MCM :lol: Looks like there's lots of cosplayers going down :D I'm excited too,as is the rest of the three man party going down with me!^_^
 
I'll be going this one.

I haven't been to a Midlands Expo yet, I've just been going London Expo only since last year.

Makes a change, isn't far from me either.
