New feature i thought i'd start up, seeing it was brushed on a bit in the forum suggestions thread, as of Monday this will be a weekly thread with a monthly award poll.

This only counts to Region 2 DVD's and for each volume or boxset, focusing on the DVD quality, show quality, and extra's

So as the posts suggest, which has been your DVD release of the month?

PS. this month i had to rely on the ANUK release chart so if a dvd has or hasn't been released and is on the list, feel free to let me know

Mushishi of course. In many ways it's a really refreshing series with some excellent artwork and a good English dub. All it needs is a shorter wait between releases. Minimal extras as usual but I'm more interested in the series than bonus features.

bit of a tough one for me, i know the ADV release of Utawa is identical to the US one, but the only other DVD's i've bought from that list is Shana (only region 2 one this month too :( )

so i'll have to go with the later

Black Lagoon #2 - only one I bought, but still excellent. Loving the dub, one of the strongest I've heard lately. Too bad it ends just as the 'Maid to kill' story arc gets going.

Berserk #5. I just have volume 6 (and volumes 5 and 6 of Kanon) to get, then I'll not buy anymore anime this summer because I'm saving up to build my own PC.

Most probably Berserk #5 for myself, even though i'm still waiting for it to reach me. Only other one would be Shana 1, but i'm still to go out and buy it. Mushishi i still need to start, i just haven't gotten round to it as yet.

Mushi Shi; because it's utterly amazing, spellbinding and totally unlike anything else out there.

(Just as an aside: I really like this new feature, Ryo Chan! :])

Isn't exactly new as i told him as there used to be the monthly releases mentioned on the News section, but either way its nice to see it back, and with a poll.

Berserk vol 4 & 5 came in the post today.Dropped everything and watched them straight away so berserk gets my vote.Sadly only one more volume to go_One can only hope that some studio will take the plunge someday and animate the rest of the manga.

Considering how popular the anime was / is and how popular the manga is, I believe they did the sensible thing waiting up for more of the story to unfold. It would be an atrocity to have fillers in this series.

No official confirmation though :(
