Manga have Welcome To The Space Show

Yay~ though I might want the blu for this so won't remove it from my shopping list yet (unless Manga confirm theirs will be unlocked, in which case, double yay).

Release date delays!

A couple of sites like Amazon still have the December release date...

But Anime on Line, Play, HMV, DVD.co.uk and some other have all pushed the release date back to July 2nd 2012.

Crap! (If confirmed)
That leaves just two new titles from Manga for December. K-ON V3, and Darker Than Black S2, which at this time no one has listed.
Everything else is just re-releases.

Anyone tweeted up to twit at Manga?

Whaat? I was going to buy this on DVD to support Manga actually providing a cool service for the UK and getting us something first, but if it's that far back it sounds like they're planning a US release or something too. Which will mean I just import the blu. Why, Manga? Why?

I've sent them a tweet asking.

If true, what could have caused a 7-month delay?
Waiting for the US release to come out first.
Unavoidable with dubbed releases, unless they do it themselves (or use an Asian dub).

But you would think they would have known sooner that a 2011 release here couldn't happen, given that it hasn't been solicited at all in the US yet. I thought the entire point was that we were intentionally getting it first...

I need to stop wasting my energy trying to understand them.

Ah Manga, you keep being Manga and I'll keep not buying anything you actually put out.

Seriously, why is it anything I'm vaguely interested in gets delayed to near Duke Nukem Forever levels?

Since when does it take 9 months to dub a two-hour (and a bit) film?

Gotta love Manga and their wildly optimistic release dates.

Also, I just read on Wiki that the theme song was sung by Susan Boyle. A WTF moment if there ever was one.

Who bets the delay is actually because of MangaUK having to deal with Syco?

Seriously I wish you'd give Manga UK a break, just because they don't cater to your whims does not mean they suck as a company
