Manga Girl's wants your views on Christmas Shopping!!!

A number of you may know that I chucked in my job a couple of months ago to go back to university to study journalism. I'm writing an article about Christmas shopping and I would love to hear your views. Fancy taking part?

All you need to do is answer the below questions and PM me your full name, age and where you live. I will be writing the article in a vox-pops style. If you could get your answers to me by the end of Friday, it would be appreciated. Ideally, I'd like a couple of sentences per answer and I have put a few prompts under the questions to help you think about your answers.

Q1) How will you be doing your Christmas shopping: on the highstreet or online? (Will the Xmas rush switch you over to online shopping? Why do you prefer to buy online/on the high street?)

Q2) Xmas on a budget - how will you be cutting the cost of Xmas?
(Christmas is always the most expensive time of year, so how will you cut costs? What are your best Xmas budgeting tips?)

Q3) What does Christmas mean to you?
(Traditionally a religious holiday, Xmas is now celebrated by many faiths, so what does Xmas mean to you?)

Thank you kindly in advance,

M.G xx

Q1) How will you be doing your Christmas shopping: on the highstreet or online?

Well, I'm going to be buying stuff off the net (when my mum gives me the Christmas Money). Mainly because there are games and stuff I can't normally buy on the highstreets. But I do love walking around town, and looking at stuff, and may end up buying it if I want to. I do hate the christmas rush, because I come out with headaches.

Q2) Xmas on a budget - how will you be cutting the cost of Xmas?

Simple, don't spend... Seriously, I don't really have much of that opinion because I'm still a child, and under my mother.

Q3) What does Christmas mean to you?

Celebrating it with the family. Because not too long in the future, it won't be the same. We will all be adults, and won't have the same feeling of being treated to a christmas dinner or getting presents. But as an parent with kids, it can be just as satisfying to see the little kid's happy faces.

Dunno if it be any use to you.

1 - I usually Buy From The High street on christmas Eve [Yea I'm usually Really lazy about get stuff Done early]. This year I decided to do it mostly online, bought almost everything before the end of November. Still To lazy to wrap them Though

2 - The Majority of the presents were bought on a budget of 15-20 Quid a Head, So about 120-150 quid spent altogether. Even better how most of the Presents I bought would Usually be more expensive if Bought in a shop

3 - Its generally just a family occassion for the family. Christmas Eve Right Through to Boxing Day has the whole family meet up in my aunts house for a couple hours each day. also Kinda religious. We Head to the Midnight Mass on Christmas eve

1. It's normally a mix of online and offline, i get the festive spirit when i'm walking through the shopping centers when its christmas time, and i turn to online shopping when i know there's something cheaper or when i simply can't find it offline

2. In previous years i have over spent on chirstmas so this year i've decided to spend less and buy more thoughtful gifts instead instead of just flashy things.

3. When i was a kid, Xmas was my favorite time of the year...and it still is. I think that Xmas is a time where everyone can get together and enjoy it, without any drama happening. It's the only time of the year where i think people actually act nice to each other and most times mean it.

1.high street that way i feel safer and i get to browse to make sure i get the right thing and if they don't like it they can get the receipt and exchange it easily enough.
2.I won't be cutting the cost :|
3.Holiday 2 weeks of from college not much my family is all over the place and even at christmas we don't really all get together :|

1. Online - i hate going into town and its easier to have stuff delivered direct to the door.

2. Budget??? I've spent about £600 so far, I do not understand the word budget.

3. Presents and time for the whole family to get together eat drink and play games, I love xmas day.

Q1) How will you be doing your Christmas shopping: on the highstreet or online? Well usually I try to buy gifts online but I usually end up putting it off for so long that it's too late so on something like the 22nd I end up running into town and buying on the highstreet. It's the same every year and I can feel that I'm going to be doing it again.

Q2) Xmas on a budget - how will you be cutting the cost of Xmas?
It's usually a lot cheaper to buy things like DVD's online and there's also a lot more variety. It's hard to stay on a budget when you want to get people exactly what they want.

Q3) What does Christmas mean to you?

Not much really, I'm not a religious person. I do take great enjoyment in seeing everyone else open their presents and get what they want on the day.
