Having seen other multi-volume Blu-Ray releases such as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Casshern Sins cancelled part-way through their release runs and "downsized" to DVD only releases, UK anime fans are naturally a little tetchy about investing in the format without being sure of whether or not they'll be able to complete their collection for a given series.
So, what of this week's Blu-Ray release of Xam'd: Lost Memories - are we 100% guaranteed to see the second half of the series also released on this High Definition format in the UK?
According to a Tweet from distributor Manga Entertainment, the company will be assessing Blu-Ray sales of the series between now and August 18th before making their final decision on a release plan before part two - not the definitive answer fans might have been hoping for, but encouragement to go out and buy the release in the next month for those that want it perhaps?
One interesting point to note is that unlike the other series mentioned at the head of this news piece, we've received review "check discs" for the entire series on Blu-Ray (including its second half) here at UK Anime, which gives us hope that Xam'd is at least a little more likely to see a full Blu-Ray release to our shores.
