Well it's about time. For whatever reason I never got around to importing the Akira BD, so there's a strong possibility that I'll be buying Manga's release. It should be a good seller.

Way too late for me. I got the region A version when it was first released (I got one of the first press copies with a slipcase and booklet).

Still good news for those that can't/don't import.

Yep, I don't remember why I didn't buy this yet, either, so I may as well pick up this release.

I might buy it. I have the DVD, that looks fine and I'm not a fan of the film. We'll see.

Does this have the "Hypersonic" soundtrack like the US one? It needs certain spec audio equipment, and mine isn't quite there, but it's supposed to be spectacular. But even without the capable equipment, the audio is still amazing.
