Lupin III vs Detective Conan TV Special to be announced.

Thought this would interest a few people on here. Quoting from ANN:

This year's ninth issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine will announce on Wednesday that a "Lupin III vs. Conan" television special will bring together the most famous manga thief and one of the most popular manga detectives. An original story revolving around a treasure will unite the two heroes from Monkey Punch and Gosho Aoyama's manga stories for a "legendary match."

I've never really looked into Detective Conan myself, though i do know its fairly popular, but i have seen one or two Lupin III films/OVA's so i may have a look into this if it grabs my interest when more is really known.
 
Yeah, this is pretty exciting stuff. I like watching the odd Detective Conan episode every once and a while. And, I'm a fan of Lupin. Good News. Be interesting to see how they handle it.
 
I've never actually seen a full episode of Conan, but this sounds interesting. The styles don't really gel so I wonder how they're going to animate it?

Where does this leave poor old Zenigata though? Or is he starring in his own crossover heading the Kira investigation in Death Note?
 
Whenever I hear about detective Conan, thiscomes to my mind.

I wanted to check this out someday, as it seems to be pretty popular.

Lupin III on the other hand is awesome, too bad they didn't released more of it in here.
 
Probably something I'll have to import as neither series seems to have found the popularity it deserves here or in the US but this sounds interesting. I like both shows (possibly Conan slightly more than Lupin) and I can see this being very silly.

Bring on more crossovers :)

~blink~ Wow... i'm so very happy. ANY news about DC is welcome, but ... I don't know what to do with myself, i'm buzzing. I love the OVAs. And Lupin in it! My knees quiver with wonder.
