Back in 2013, the newly formed animation studio released <em>Little Witch Academia</em>, a short movie about a witch named Akko Kagari who enrolls in a school for witchcraft and wizardry (no - not the one you're thinking of. We have enough people running into walls at King's Cross). Last year, the studio went to Kickstarter to try and fund production of a sequel - with a $150,000 goal that was met within five hours (ultimately, the project ended up raising $625,518) and today, the studio behind <em>Kill la Kill</em> has gave us our first hint as to when we'll be able to see this new production.
<strong>Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade</strong>, the fourty minute long sequel, will be released theatrically by TOHO Visual in Japan later this year. A small preview will also be shown at the Anime Matsuri Convention, which is set t obe held in Houston, Texas between 3-5th April.
