Light at the end of the tunnel for Geneon's titles?

My understanding is that while I can not give you details and it has nothing to do with MB that Geneon titles will see the light of day as they were in final stages of talks.

I am kind of surprised it has already not been announced as I thought by now this deal would have been done but my understanding was something was going to happen.

Also, Media Blasters have two more unreleased Geneon titles that he is yet to announce. Geneon USA titles that is, i.e we already know that they've been licensed to Geneon USA. Most probably one will be Nanoha and possible Familiar of Zero:

That is true...not interested in partially released series from Geneon. I do have two more Geneon titles that I have not announced yet but again never started. Not to be mean but one of the reasons I do not want a partially released titles is ... if these titles were doing so well why did Geneon go bye bye. I am sure if they were selling well...Geneon would still be here...kind of logical.

Also, as the R1 retailer/distributor RightStuf has four (or three) more announcements to make after the one about them releasing Maria-sama this year, people are thinking they are going to release the rest of the unreleased Geneon titles. Though, anything could happen...

Out of the unreleased Geneon titles, there were only a few, and the only two left that I can think of are Nanoha and Familiar of Zero, so it's most probably those if no one else can think of anything else. Of course, those two added to the already announced Seirei no Moribito.

My take on this:

Got to check as I know they had plans to release them in the USA but they are Geneon Japan as Geneon USA never really produced w/o Japan side.

.. and I have not a clue what it was in response to.. was that these titles are titles already licensed by Geneon USA, and that's why I said that above, if anyone else makes something else of it though, please discuss.

I would not mind giving Familiar of Zero a go if it got released.

I am a little disapointed at the comment about partial releases as I really want to finish Karin and Rozen Maiden. Also Black Lagoon is technically unfinished with the Second Barrage unreleased and I would bet it would probably sell better than some of the other properties MB may pick up.

Are they trying to clear their stock or something? I ask this because I see that the Cardcaptor Sakura boxset has appeared Amazon with no release date. I thought that it was something that was out of print.

Maybe I'm just looking into it wrong. However, I have looked in the past and that boxset was never there.

I do find the item specification a bit odd though.

Maybe I'm just looking into it wrong. However, I have looked in the past and that boxset was never there.

That's just one of the boxsets that was released three years ago. (It was released in two 9 DVD boxsets in 2005).

Back from a busy week of playing catch-up at work. I'll just point out here Hellsing Ultimate may come to the UK before US release resumes.

License rights for UK/EU sphere are handled by GDH/Gonzo and I wouldn't be surprised if licensing talks were on at present. Can't say more than that as it's not my business but given it's not Geneon who hold UK release rights, you can rest easy that a UK launch is likely, possibly before it continues in the US!

Very interesting. I wonder if whoever gets it over here might continue with the metal boxes like Geneon. Anyway I can possibly see myself buying it all over again, not to have a missmatched set.
