Hi guys I've been involved with the anime community for a number of years now, regularly going to cons and gopher where I can. Ok to get to the point, myself and a group of people are in the process of signing the contracts for a hotel to use for our own convention in 2009. We've loads of events that we're planning to stage but we want our con to have as much con goer input as possible. So I'm posting on here asking what events you guys would like to see and what sorts of things you'd like to see at the con, could be stuff you've seen at other cons or it could be something new that you think could be work well. A complete open forum .
We've set a date of 17th of april 2009 3 day convention in northampton.

all input would be much appriecated

The website to be launched the weekend of minami www.kitacon.org

I was going to attend Kitacon but the weekend it falls on is just before I fly out to the US so can't afford to take any time out

OK people big update coming through, we've revealed some of the events that are to take place over the weekend on the main kitacon page with more updates to come shortly.

Big news we've set a date for registrations to open, they'll be open on Sunday 4th of May !!!

I am so torn whether or not to sign up for this event now, just realised its 2009 so will be in the UK but my Stag Do is gonna be in April and knowing my luck my mates will arrange it for this weekend.

Will have to register when I get back from the US in a few weeks (if there are tickets left) and try to convince them to get me wasted on another weekend.

Okay the 'build a mecha' has me interested. Are we building a life size gundam or just a few hard suits
Might go even if accommodation is a little expensive
