JP Imports

I'm looking to import Gundam vs. Gundam Plus for PSP and BlazBlue for PS3, but it has been years since I've bothered importing games from Japan. I remember using either LikSang or PlayAsia back then, but they're no longer viable. I assume there are others here who import games from Japan so I was hoping you could point me to a good online store for import games. :]

I usually go with Yesasia out of habit (gives me an excuse to sling some CDs onto the order) or Play-Asia. Just be careful as a lot of games for the PS3 are flagged as being unavailable to the UK now. I usually manage to find what I want between those two with some rummaging in spite of this. Otherwise the US stores such as NCSX are a good way to go as most completely ignore Sony's restrictions on sending things to us. They also tend to be a bit more generous about making sure you get first press goodies if available instead of keeping them and selling them separately like Yesasia sometimes does!

I use NCSX, and just got GvGN+ from them actually. They'll mark the games down below customs limits for you if you ask.

I wouldn't bother importing BB, though, I'd wait for the new version.

i'm waiting for Blazblue as well :) , the European version, but i hear that the online for that would be region locked bacause of new characters and moves :(

Right, I'll definitely check YesAsia and NCSX out. I've seen YesAsia before but never actually ordered anything from them, I think it will also give me an excuse to buy some albums and such whilst I'm at it. As for NCSX, first time I'm hearing about them so I'll browse their website when I'm back from work, hopefully these two sites will manage any of my import needs for the foreseeable future.

Yeah, I'm aware of the 'expansion' that's coming up but until then I want to familiarise myself with the game's basic mechanics and pick up as much as I can. The expansion will not do much more than balance certain characters and add a few new ones, so learning the basics with the original is still quite viable. How are you finding GvGN+ by the way?

Wow, another old face returns. Welcome back Nemph. :D

Thanks, though this isn't really a return for me. I'd love to post more on here like I did when I initially registered, but the websites I write for all have forums, and I'm obligated to remain active on those forums as much as possible to set an example for other users and also for moderation/feedback purposes. Hopefully some day I'll have more time and can get stuck in on the anime/videogame discussions once again. :]
