With recent anime adaptations leading to an overwhelming surge in popularity for Hirohiko Araki's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure JUMP manga, it should come as no surprise that a brand new television anime based on the franchise has been green-lit.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable was officially announced at an event this weekend commemorating the conclusion of the previous series, The Stardust Crusaders, which finished its television broadcast in June earlier this year. An adaptation of the original manga's fourth "Part", this will be the third television anime following Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, David Production's 2012 adaptation of the Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency parts and 2014's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.

The first television anime is available on DVD in the United KIngdom, courtesy of Warner Bros. With over 114 volumes published since its debut in 1986, the original manga is currently on its 8th "Part", Jojolion.
