Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade

Anyone saw this film on DVD recently? What did everyone think of it?

Do you think this could end up being made into a live action film if Hollywood manage to grab hold of it?

Who knows? I'm sure no one other than people in the film industry would know the answer to this. Let's wait and see. There're a lot of anime themed stories being adapted so it's not like it's impossible.

Isn't James Cameron interested in adapting Blood to the big screen?

There's a lot of anime/manga adaptions coming out of Hollywood now. It's about time they ran out of US/UK comics.

I never liked Jin-Roh, I've only watched it once or twice now. I find it boring. =/ Although I know there is a lot of substance supposedly there, It just flies right past me. Hah.

Not sure about Blood, but he's been talking about doing Battle Angel Alita for years now. Wish he'd get on with it but I guess it's hard to get the right funding as the source material isn't as well known as other series.

I remember reading somewhere that he plans to do Battle Angel after he's finished Avatar, though that could be any time since some reports said that he was doing three of those films

Theres a Live action blood in the works atm, theres some screen shots floating around the net for it.

As for Jin-Roh its part of a series of 4 movies called the Kerberos Saga, the first two Stray Dog and Red Spectacles are avaiable subbed on R1 DVD and the foruth is due for release in japan next year.

All 3 live action movies are directed by Mamoru Oshii and the first two are really good and done with a similar feel to Jin-Roh.

One interesting quirk of the movies is that they're set in the opposite order to which they where released, Stray Dog is get in 2003, Red Specs in 1999, Jin Roh in the 50's and the new one in WWII
