J-Pop Go returns on Saturday 20th October to present a Halloween-themed night - a spooky evening complete with the usual J-Pop goodness.

We'll have a night of fantastic J-Pop and J-Rock from old school to underground through to anime and game tunes courtesy of our DJs including Jimmy Messerschmitt, Chococat, Voxie, GenkiBoi and Yamada.

Expect a range of sounds from the likes of Puffy, Tommy February6, Polysics, Guitar Vader, Mika Bomb, YMO, Asian Kung Fu Generation, Halcali, Utada Hikaru, Rip Slyme and much more. Cosplay is encouraged Expect anime and J-Pop visuals to be played throughout the night as well. ^_^

J-Pop Go will also be giving away free prizes courtesy of sponsors ADV via a Raffle Draw on the night.

Our venue of choice will again be Cafe Manga (which is at the Westminster Bridge end of County Hall). The venue will have Japanese drinks for sale including Ashai beer and Sochu.

Kick off is 7pm on Saturday October 20th. Tickets will be £5 with discounts for flyers and cosplayers (please read our restrictions on cosplay on the site). 18+ only please.

Wish I could go to this but unfortunately I am at my sisters wedding reception, otherwise I would have headed over to this after going to the expo

I was getting very excited to even the thought of going!

Then my dreams where shattered when you said. 18+

Sounds fun anyway. I hope anybody who goes will enjoy it!

Is it possible to purchase tickets on the door or can you only attend if you purchased in advanced?

Yes, you can indeed buy tickets on the door :D

We've also got some anime DVD packs supplied by ADV Films to give away on the night. So anyone coming along could walk away with lots of free anime!

On the 18+ issue: Unfortunately the venue does insist on this due to the fact that alcohol is served on the premises. We're looking at ideas and options for an event that will enable J-Pop fans of all ages to attend. Perhaps we can schedule something along those lines in 2008 if there's enough interest.

I was looking at the JPop-Go website and it said that you needed ID to prove that you were 18 or over which is a bit of a problem for me even though I'm 35 as I have none of the ID that's listed... Does anyone know if I'd still be able to get in or not or could I bring in another form of ID such as a copy of my change of name document which has my date of birth on it as well as my student ID card which has my picture on it...
