ITT: Scenes that made you cry.

This is an anime based forum but it isn't limited to anime, it can be manga too. Also, in before people coming in all "Lol, I don't cry." Because that's just ********. Anyway, we can begin!

To start the topic here's one of mine:

The End of Millennium Actress gets me every time.
"After all... it's the chase that I really love..."
Cue Mr. Hirasawa...

And the end of Gunbuster actually.
When the lights begin to come on and spell out "Welcome Back"
that's another scene where the music is cued perfectly - that definately has an effect on me.

Well, the whole of grave of the fireflies is a given.

Several others have hit me with the 'tear in the eye' moments.

Serial Experiments Lain has one in the last episode when Lain seems utterly alone and her father comes in and basically says she is a god and can do anything. The scene is extremely poigniant for me

Whisper of the Heart the ending is quite soulful, definately got me that one

Petopeto-San loads of them in this, but again, a good chunk of the last episode

and more I can't remember I'm sure.

Chrono Crusade

All I can say is... Despite how it starts out, don't put it on expecting to cheer yourself up if you're in a slump.

I did that and ended up having to see a shrink for suicudal depression. :?

Although I'll never get rid of the disks and I think it's a fantastic series, i'll never watch it again - the ending tears me up just thinking about it. The sunset scene is Hillary Haags greatest performance in my opinion.

5 Centimeters Per Second. At the end of the second section. Kanae was probably my favourite character. Just as the final song cuts in too. The images in that montage are just...wonderfull. And the final scene.
Shinkai is really a master.

The end of Death Note.

I was so sad when Light and Mikami died

I have heard people say they where upset when he dies but I have never understood why considering what he did.

Anime, or manga, has never made me "cry", but I did well up at the end of the Fullmetal Alchemist series. And I'm pretty sure a few tears fell from my eye when I watched End of Evangelion. But that's it, I think!

A few moments have made me well up with tears during an anime, to name a few:

NARUTO:

- When zabuza approaches haku when she has been killed and how he finnaly shows he cared for him.
- Gaara's background

FMA:

- Maes hughes funeral.

GUNGRAVE:

- When Bear walken dies.

TRIGUN:

- When wolfwood dies.

Because to people like me who are strongly in favour of what he did, he was a hero who didnt deserve death.

As mentioned, the first Arc in Naruto. THE BEST ARC IN NARUTO:

When The loss of Haku hits Zabuza and through Naruto's speech, he realises Haku is... gone. After killing Gatou, he asks Kakashi for one last favour before he dies, which is to take him and lay him besides Haku.

In Fullmetal Alchemist... Greed's Death. Even Ed cried when he realised what he done, and that Greed weren't such a bad person

The Ending for Grave Of The Fireflies actaully, **** it, the whole film made me feel like a bitch when the, umm, "Setsuo" died (Is that her name? Hmm.). Brought a tear to my eye... easily one of Studio Ghibli's best.

And last, but not least, Wolf's Rain Tsume's/Hige's/Toboe's and Blue's Death with Hige's + Blue's being the most dramatica. Where they layed besides each other knowing that they were going to die and asking Kiba to "put them down" (Kill them).

I didn't really cry, I was just a little upset when I was younger and in naruto when it goes back to sasuke's childhood when itachi kills his parents and all the villagers, etc. That's the only one I can really think of :p.

And, yeah, I was pretty pissed off when light and mikami die.

Same for that, although people did warn me it was going to be a sad ending, i wasn't expecting that T_T

The last episode of Lunar Legend Tsukihime When Arcuied dies and and when Shiki is in the classroom alone and she's there but before he can get to her she vanishes, saying "You'll probably forget about me now" T_T Thinking about it i wonder if the magna will end the same way
