It... It... It's beautiful. Although I'm personally not buying it.
 
Much better than I expected and it obliterats the infamous 4Kids rap when in comparison! Not that it's bad, but was it Vic that sung yet another One Piece opening?

I agree. The beauty of the song being in Japanese was that you couldn't understand the cringeworthy lyrics. However I'll till be buying this, the dub sounds excellent from what I've heard and it might enhance my enjoyment of the series despite it's stretched out nature.

But the Japanese version is just... exactly the same, basically, except it's sung by a Japanese guy.

Also note that the opening is from 1999, not 2008.

It's mainly the lyrics. In Japanese you can really just disregard the lyrical content but translated...

Personally I never liked the song in the frst place though.

Yeah, It seems because he didn't get a role in the show itself, He is singing everything. >__> Not that I'm complaining, He is a decent guy and can somewhat sing.

I quite like it, but I liked the rap also so yeah...
 
That's pretty good. I'm not going to watch the dub when mine arrives, but the song is much better than previous "attempts" for the old dub. Maybe it sounds corny to some but...it's One Piece, not high art. If I was a kid discovering the dub, I'd love that song!

Prefer the original as it sounded much more hotblooded but since I understood the lyrics anyway whilst enjoying that the English version doesn't bug me. He sounds very different to the JP singer but his take on it works well enough.

Bandai's dub of Haruhi's "God Knows" was terrible :D
 
The Japanese track is probably there, it's probably just set to English in the options. I'll get this when I have some cash.
 
That's pretty good actually. It's not like the Japanese version of that song was exceptional anyway!

Here's hoping someone decides to release One Piece over here! :]
 
Actually, I think I changed my mind after hearing more clips. Luffy's voice is still hella annoying. The others sound good though... Not sure if to actually get it now...

I don't import. Although I love One Piece and the FUNimation dub I'm not going to import it, I'd rather sit and wait and see who's going to release it here and buy it then, I have some patience unlike a lot of people.
