'Negotiating the moist salami' was probably the most accurate one I was able to find. That said, 'salami' is practically a euphemism in and of itself. 'Vicar' cannot enjoy such utility.

You should have seen him unleashing the dolphin. Like most guys his age, he wasn't above flogging the moist object. Of course, back in my day we called it soiling the captain. The last time I saw him, he was bagging the porcelain justice. For one of his intelligence, he was remarkably adept at beating up the moist woodchuck.
