Would you buy it?. I asked Manga UK on their twitter if they would consider it since Madman licensed it for an AUS release (which means PAL masters) and it seemed they were but did ask first if people who follow them on twitter would be interested.

Anyone here as well?. I don't expect Legendary Ninja Cats (the original Japanese version) getting a UK DVD release at all, but SPC would be awesome

The honest answer is that I wouldn't. I've imported the subbed version from the US and I have no interest in the dub. I couldn't follow it at all when I saw it on Fox Kids(?) years ago.

It's not a bad idea though, since it did air on television and may have some nostalgia appeal if it's given a cheap mainstream release.

Trust me, the dub is one of the few early 1990s made for TV dubs that was and still is good. Especially considering it came from Saban Entertainment (whom some consider to be the 4Kids of their day)

I think we're going to have to agree to disagree on the point of it being good (both in the context of the 1990s and now ^^; ).

And given the above video is the sub version an actual sub version of this show? or is it just a sub of the dub they supposedly made up?

It's a sub of the Japanese show. They had to release it in a separate box in the US like most hacked-up dubs; presumably the original footage won't sync up to the English version.

I,ve just finished watching Kaytto-Ninden Teyandee and it is one of the funniest series i,ve seen, simple slapstick humour at its best, lots of silly gags and lots on in-jokes and references to other series which no doubt got lost in translation when they done the dub, well lets be honest most of it was lost in translation lol and they made it up as they went along but in saying that, that was part of the charm of the dub and being that loose with the script it ended up becoming a cult fave all in its own right i,ll be getting the dub version when it is released in the u.s. as i loved the dub also and have lots of fond memories of watching it when i was younger,as for Manga releasing it well i think it would do well as its a series that is going to sell to non anime fans also as most people of a certain age will remember it and want to have a dvd version of it even just for nostalgia reasons.

I'd buy it. I was going to get the NA release anyway.

Rumors are flying around that the Japanese company intentially never gave Saban the sound files, because they wanted it to be interpreted differently in every country it was licensed to. They wanted it to be one giant woolseyism. It also says they look fondly on the English dub and say maybe they should have tried for something like that.

I remember watching it as a kid, but don't remember anything about it. Like Battle of the Planets, all I would really want is a single disc to satisfy my nostalgia.
