It's true. Anyone who has any anime in their homes after the deadline could be subject to a hefty fine ot jail time depending on how much they own. The minimum penalty is a £50 fine for a few DVD's but you could be locked up for up to seven years if they find imports or special edition products. Downloads of unlicenced anime has always been a grey area before but it's now going to be a serious offence. A 20 gig hard drive filled with anime could get you a life sentence in court. They are even considering bringing in capital punishment.
Don't try and hide your anime because little did we know at the time we bought them but every piece of official merchandise contains a small tracker. This enables it to be detected via satalite.
If you still have anime in your house after September the 12th then get yourself a damn good lawyer.
