Is 28 years of age to late to start your anime collection...

I fall called nder that category. It's harder for sure. I don't have the disposable income others have on here but I'm pretty selective with what I buy anyway. As long as you don't tell your other half how much anime costs to buy, it's all good😉
Something tells me they probably know. At the end of the day you're on this earth for a while so enjoy it while it lasts.

My collection so far...regian 2

I started properly collecting about 4 years ago at the age of 20. As other said there really isn't an age bracket, but it is annoying when u want some OOP DVD/BD set and either have to pay way too much, or never get it.

I will give you this hope. There is license turn over at the minute where a good few early 2000's anime and later are being picked up. patience in this case is a great virtue. Add to that if importing is an option then Australian and US markets are worth a look.

OOP is pricey so set your spending higher, but not too high (mine is £120 at an absolute for truely rare sets and half that for a film and even then...). In rare trades you can't be as picky, but always have the nerve to ask the seller what they'll take.

My collection so far.....getting there.....i think.lol

Some of those titles look familiar. Heat guy is a novel one and very watchable and soul eater is a little peach (I'll not go on about Redline as my love of it is fairly well known ;) :) ) Which anime do you particularly like?

Last OOP thing I spent a pretty penny on was Blood+ sets at £95 for both. With how Sony is said to be witht his series with wanting $$$$$$ for licensing it I doubt it'll ever see the light of day again in english terrorities.

Fair point. Also I was never one for Deluxe, Special Edition, Super Exclusive, Gimme all your money sets, something that is becoming a trend (not to mention the poison that is Sony Marketing). Just give me the series/film and keep the filler. That aside there are still plenty of options at the minute with the likes of Sentai and Nozomi.

Nozomi products on Rightstuf (keep in mind you have to pay for import)
