Ipod touch 2nd gen - any good?

Quick question as i'm out to buy it in 2 hours, are they any good? just lost my £140 samsung one :( and need a new one, they sound good, so thinking of grabbing one now, would end up the same price anyway after my staff discount.
 
My assumption is that they are decent. I only have an iPhone, but all of their products are usually well-worth purchasing. Apple is a good company.

I apologise that I can only make an assumption though, but I thought that as you are getting one anyway I may as well say that they are likely to be good.

Even the Queen likes iPods.
 
I assume it's a bit late now but my husband has one and really likes it. For me it was a toss up between the Touch and the iPhone - I went for the iPhone as an excuse to junk my horrible Motorola but the Touch is a worthy rival (and mostly the same, in all the important ways, if you already have phone facilities).
