Anime news network have put up a transcript of a meet and greet interview with Goro Miyazaki from the Taipei International Book Exhibition that took place earlier this year.

Earlier in the year, Goro Miyazaki, director of Gedo Senki (Tales from Earthsea) and son of legendary anime director Hayao Miyazaki, visited the Taiwan International Book Exhibition. Audience members were able to get a glimpse into the mind of this up and coming director.

crowd question: In your opinion, how do your rate director Hayao Miyazaki, as a father and as a director?

his answer: "A goose egg as a father and 100% as a director"

Fascinating. He seems quite keen to speak hs mind! I could read a lot into what he said and implied but I'll reserve my final judgement for when I actally see the film itself. It's always interesting to read about the workings of the studio from another perspective at any rate.
