Since a whole spate of (mostly UK) anime conventions (and festivals) news surfaced over the weekend, we have combined it all into one time saving post below.

The popular London MCM Expo, which has in the past attracted some 10,000 - 15,000 attendees, has confirmed its support of anime and manga at this years event (14th & 15th May '04). Recently announced official sponsors include MVM and Neo magazine, with planned cosplay events, a chance to meet the Neo magazine writing team and a Q&A with guest American voice actor Teryl Rothery of Dragonball fame all being in lined up for the festival proper. More announcements are expected soon.

Auchinawa is an ambitious Scottish anime convention; it will be an event-filled 4 day convention/expo and is being planned for Easter 2006, making room for a maximum of 1,000 UK anime fans. For more specific information, please consult their latest press release or official website.

Dublin City University's anime & manga society are hosting on campus what is said to be the first ever Irish anime convention; EirtaKon 2005, scheduled from the 15th till the 17th of July '04. Many fan oriented events and competitions are being planned, from cosplay to anime music video competitions. Read the full press release or visit the EirtaKon official website.

Dama-Con is looking to set up a big brother Dama-Con in summer 2006, so expect more announcements in the followings weeks.
