Importing anime help?

Yeah, you would be if you import directly from America, so if you want faster shipping and a more local UK service, go for this store.

http://www.up1.co.uk/ They are the UK's answer to Right Stuf, so they will stock the item you desire, and have fantastic shipping. I bought both sets of Rose of Versailles on July 1st, and they were dispatched and sent two days after ordering, and 3 days before the second set was supposed to come out in America, so yeah there great.

That's the RRP...

The actual price from UP1 is £34.32 + P&P

If you get it from their US site (still no customs) it's £31.52 + P&P

If you get it from TRSI it might be about £30 including P&P, if you go through their pain of a credit confirmation, but it's a roll of the dice if you get hit by customs there.

I think you can use expedited shipping on Amazon US. That will allow you to pay an import fees deposit beforehand. If it gets hit by customs, the fee will be paid out of that and you won't have to pay Royal Mail's extortionate "handling charge". If it gets through unscathed, you'll get it refunded I believe. Doing it that way it's $42.56 or about £26 all in.
