Horror Recommendations

Im looking for a good horror anime. Or one that just has a lot of blood flying around. Ive seen hellsing and elfen lied also Ninja scroll. But I dont know what else to watch any Recommendations will be greatly apreciated.
 
I would advise you to get Requiem from the darkness.
It is a brilliant anime horror that has its fair share of horror but the real draw is how it depicts humans,showing just how sickening they can be and just how far they go to get what they want.
Seriously you should check this out.Has more brains than most horrors.Maybe thats not to everyones tastes but hell,JUST GET IT.
 
for gore, horror etc, berserk is one you should check out, its got a great story as well as in-depth characters. I haven't really seen many other horrors on top of that so i can't really suggest any more
 
Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni - psycho loli's, some nice gory bits and some weird faces, its great

Narutaru: Mukuro Naru Hoshi Tama Taru Ko/ Shadow Star Narutaru - not yet watched it, but what got me interested in the series was a note in the description of the anime 'Not suitable for children due to some brutal killings and scenes of extreme cruelty'

Devilman OVAs

Devil Lady

Wicked City

Fist of the North Star (especially the old 1986 film)

Gantz, Bio Hunter, Ninja Resurrection (which is bad, but v. gory). Also, not a horror title but Dead Leaves is complete random violence which is all good imo.
 
Another vote for Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, I'm only 4 eps in (the first 4 ep story) and I'm hooked

Hell girl or Jigoku Shoujo is very good, creepy messed up play with your mind horror there's 2 seasons out now, I've only seen the first but the 2nd season is supposed to be great too
 
If you want to see something horrific, get Demon Eyes Kyo. Its horrifically bad! ;)

Though not animated you may want to try Uzumaki
 
Horror without any gore or anything would be MONSTER,

I have them all episodes, haven't got around to watching it yet, 70 something episodes.

Seems imensely popular with the people who have seen it though.

And now that i think about it Death Note is under the Horror genre, and i reccomend that, probably a bit of a lighter viewing than MONSTER though.
