History of UK anime

Hi guys!

As most of you are aware I tend to bounce round the anime fandom a fair amount, and one of the projects I've had the good fortune to become involved with is helping the esteemed author Helen McCarthy with an exciting new project she's working on.
What is basically boils down to is what will hopefully be a fairly comprehensive history of anime fandom in the UK.
Whilst I'm quite lacking in the contribution area, what I do tend to be good at is bugging people for information, hence I'm here ;)

What we are looking for at the moment is information on the anime scenes activities from the mid 90's onwards, plus a lot of the following:

Lists of conventions, with dates, venues and guests
Lists of clubs with regular meetings and what they did apart from screenings, if anything
Lists of fanzines, editors/creators, dates, number of issues
Personal reactions or memories from any of the above

Obviously this is a huge undertaking for a few people, so if anyone out there is willing to help out by forwarding us info, it would be hugely appreciated!

Anything you send us will be used for reference only, so don't worry about us quoting your own personal thoughts or anything; but we would like to hear about your experiences in the fanbase ;)

If you want to, please post info on this thread, or contact me personally via PM or my hotmail email listed on my profile.

Thanks in advance for anything anyone can provide!
