Hidden Blade

Death Scythe
It's a film from the same director as The Twilight Samurai, Yoji Yamada. If you enjoyed that film, you'd love this too because they have a lot of things in common. Again, it's set in the 1800s as samurai are coming to terms with how their world is changing and how they struggle to adapt to Western influences infringing on their way of life. There are other thematic and visual similarities between the two films but I still recommend it because it's so well shot, acted and written.

Anyone else seen this yet?

That's one I have plans on getting (whether it's renting or buying) very soon as I absolutely adored The Twilight Samurai. Now I just have to stop buying so many manga and anime DVDs so I can get around to it...
