With DLC, I think the issue is when you have companies hyping up DLC before the game is even released or using it as an incentive to get pre-orders in a particular store. If something is ready when the main game is, it should be on the disc. If something is made or finished afterwards, then cool.

Regarding DLC, why not just not buy it if you are unhappy about paying for it? Paying for it just proves them right for asking for more money for it. Vote with your wallet if you want them to listen.

This is a nice attitude to have towards games made five years ago or more, sure. With the current industry setup, your comments make no sense. It's inane to suggest they deliberately delay working on some parts of the game for no reason other than so people don't "feel" like they are getting a bad deal (ie. pandering towards the general sense of entitlement on the internet).
