Have the spammers been banned?

devilrules and nerd-san haven't been posting for the last few days. So, purely out of concern for their well being, I thought it proper to ask if anyone knows what happened to them? Could it be that they were warned for being annoying lifeforms?
 
No. I'm sure they're both touched you miss them when they're not around, though :)

Err, nein, spam is spam. devilrules doesn't communicate; he reads the topic title and posts the shortest, most illogical sentence his mind can create. Spammers care for post counts and not conversation.

You need to be more harsh, Roy. You have yet to punish anyone - you need to strike fear into the hearts of posters. Without people being afraid of getting banned it's pointless having an admin.

...oh well, it might not matter: maybe I've made them run away together. It's odd that they've both stopped posting at the same time.
 
We don't actually want to go around banning everyone if possible. It would be much nicer if people could just get along and not insult one another - the forum's strength is in its mix of people. Even if you don't like someone, they're part of what makes up this site's community and it would be less vibrant without them.

Anyway, I'm not going to ban anyone I don't personally like or who doesn't spellcheck carefully enough or who passionately likes a series I think is rubbish etc - there are rules and a team here.

but... dont you think this place wud be soooo boring if every1 was nice to eachother. i sometimes just log on for the flame wars :/

While I am led to believe that many of the lesser educated people on these forums (mentioning no names) don't have a great deal to contribute to topics other than to add ill thought out comments to raise their post-count, I'm also of the opinion that you, Aion, are somewhat of a spammer too -- albeit to much less of a degree -- by creating topics every now and then that serve no purpose whatsoever, ergo this one.

Don't worry, I think we're centuries away from my idealised utopia yet :)

This thread will be closed shortly as the question was answered and the potential for this to become a flame war is difficult to ignore.

Excuse me? I'll have you know that this thread was created to enquire about the health of two absent (and clearly valued) forum members. I fail to see how this thread is spam when it's been put in the correct forum and hasn't been created just to start an immature argument.

And, as for you suggesting I don't add enough to the forum in comparison to my "spam", I'd love for you to link to the serious discussions you've been involved in lately. I hate being called a spammer by an inactive member who clearly needs some help in the originality department.

I don't like you, by the way.
