Following the release of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin Part II - Artesia's Sorrow in Japanese cinemas this weekend, the staff of Sunrise's OVA series have announced at a special greeeting event in Japan earlier today, that the penultimate instalment in the series will be launching in Spring 2016.

Tohryu Furuya, the voice of Mobile Suit Gundam protagonist Amuro Ray once noted that he perceives the franchise's overarching theme as "Why do humans engage in war?" and according to Chief Director Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin Part III - Dawn's Revolt will re-explore that theme as the four-part series heads towards its climax.

Last weekend, the first two parts of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin were screened in London as part of Anime Limited's "MCM Loves Anime" event. You can read AnimeUKNews' review of Blue-Eyed Casval and Artesia's Sorrow here. Both of the currently released episodes are available for paid premium streaming on Daisuki.net.

Anime Limited are currently distributing Bandai Visual's Japanese release of the series in the United Kingdom, while the original manga is available to purchase in English courtesy of Vertical.

Just please, Anime Limited, do not put it up for pre-order on your webstore until January. I'm already budgeted out for anime this year. :)

Interested to see just how far the Origin anime will go - will it just cover the 'past' arc of the Origin?
If I remember correctly, Part IV is slated be the last one; so I imagine that it will only focus on the past stuff.
