Greetings from Edinburgh

I have fairly broad tastes really. Manga wise, I've read everything from Akira to Kimi ni Todoke and everything in between. I'm especially a fan of Ai Yazawa's work (Paradise Kiss in particular) and Clamp, as I mentioned before. I think my favourite of their series are Chobits, Cardcaptor Sakura and XXXHolic. I have a few other favourite series as well, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, Love Hina and Kimi ni Todoke are up there.

As far as anime goes, I really like Azumanga Daioh, both Fullmetal Alchemist series, Cardcaptor Sakura, Hanasaku Iroha, Madoka Magica, Natsume Yuujinchou and Nodame Cantabile. I generally tend to enjoy drama shows the most, but I'm open to anything.

Hello there! Love your avatar :)

You also seem to have excellent taste so I hope to see more of you around these parts!

Awesome, I love CLAMP as well, Chobits and Cardcaptor Sakura are definitely my favourites too along with Magic Knight Rayearth. I adore Love Hina too, it always make me laugh reading it.

Great taste in anime :D Some of them shows are my favourite, specifically Azumanga Daioh and Cardcaptor Sakura.

Clamp <3 =)

So, what do you think of Clamp closing down their official web-presence?

Anyway, a bunch of us are going to several of the SLA films in Edinburgh and we are going to have a meet-up. Care to join us?

Could do, aye. I'm not sure I'll be able to afford to see anything (stupid student loans people messing me around) but I'd certainly be able to do a meet up of some kind :)

Hello & welcome to the forum st_owly. Good taste in manga & anime there (especially Cardcaptor Sakura, FMA, Chobits, Akira & Azumanga Daioh). Nice avatar by the way :thumb: .

Greetings also from Edinburgh!(though ok, i'm not there this minute, i am there often enough) and welcome to the forums! Dare i ask, which university(if you are at one) are you at?

I understand the whole student loans thing, once you get at them SAAS are usually quick to react, so if it's an issue on there end, kick em. And yeah, if it is, SLA is worth going to, and there is films shown all week, so it might be an idea to catch some while you can, heck Ace attorney may not be anime, but i expect it'll be a fantastic watch on the monday.

Anywho, enjoy your stay, and don't hesitate to just jump into everything, if we ain't on here, we're on the chat, and vice versa.

I'm actually at UWS, I just commute over there for the small amount of classes I have. My issue with the loans folk is they need the uni to sort something to prove that I'm entitled to the loan, so I can't do anything until the uni gets its arse in gear. It'll all sort out eventually... <sigh>

F***ing Loans! Only ever applied for 1 year of my course when I was a student. Now it keeps nibbling at me each year. Grrr...
Hope it gets sorted out soon for you - I'll try not to give your hopes up too high on the speed issue though.

A good well-rounded group of series you have there, my friend. Glad to have you join the corps!
