GITS:SAC:SSS Blu-ray edition in the UK

The first Blu-ray titles from a main UK distributor (that excludes Sony). This is from Manga of course.

The US release was put down for a release, but quickly withdrawn since it had not been even thought of by Manga Ent. So this obviously puts it right back on the table, this could be either the same people who wrongly solicited it for the US release now doing the same for the UK... Or it could be the real deal. I hope it's the latter.

Oh, just had a thought actually. This could be the same release as the US one, as in the exact same disc and package, i.e. it is blu-ray region coded for all regions, like it has been said distributors are doing, if that's the case this is something to get really excited about :wink:

This may be a silly question, but it may not. Are you planning on buying the DVD release of this as well.. by some magical chance? :p
If so, is there any way you could make some screen-cap comparison's between the two versions?
 
I'm really unsure about this, Because I was planning to pick up the DVD release at the Anime Event thing HMV are hosting. But now, I can get the same thing in HD.

I have a feeling I'll buy the DVD release by a spur of the moment thing.

Sorry to say that I'd only buy one version, but I'm sure someone on here could put up dvd screen shots to be put up against the blu-ray ones

I have the R1 DVD release, so if anything comes of this Blu-ray release, we could get together and find some good screen-caps : ). Should be an interesting experiment.
