The team build and mechanics in these Gacha games do play the main role in their longevity/survival to keep players coming back for more, along with the waifu/likeable character aspect. That is part of the appeal to me but yeah I certainly find it amusing (and at times disturbing!) how much time I can waste away researching the mechanics of upcoming characters heh
