Future of 'anime' industry in doubt

Smells like a RIAA paid article.
These are dark times for any industry, not only anime. In today's paper the headlines were about ITV sacking 600 + canceling several shows.

While I understand the uncertainty, I don't believe anime would disappear so soon.

This article has been talk of the day elsewhere. Needless to say the 'f' word has been mentioned quite a bit whilst discussing it.

Anime is a Industry and like all industries in time of recession you will see contraction. But I think the best thing about the article is the comment made at the end that the focus of the industry will likely shift from quantity to quality. So in the end for the next few years we may see less anime but hopefully what we will see will be of a higher quality and that people has got to be a good thing.

Didn't someone warn her that they farm this crap out to Korea and China now?
That and the fact that cell animation hasn't been widely used for about a decade, despite the efforts of the image in the article (stock image?).
