I'd heard this was in the works, but I wasn't paying much attention, on the grounds that most live-action adaptations aren't worth the hassle. Having watched the trailer, however, I'm surprised at how not completely awful this looks. Shun Oguri and Tetsuji Tamayama strike me as a bit young for Lupin and Jigen respectively, but that aside, it could be worth a shot.

Aside from some questionable grammar in the English dialogue, I was really impressed with the trailer - looks a lot better than most live-action adaptations of anime/manga.

Seconded. It does perhaps look as though it's taking things a little too seriously (Lupin without the silliness and sexual harassment just isn't the same) but I'll withhold criticism until I'm actually able to see it.

Unfortunately I agree mainly with Prof and ayase's "negative" (not in a vacuum, but in a "how Lupin is this Lupin" sense). The trailer looked fine/borderline good, but it just looked like a million other movies.
