According to <a href="http://twitter.com/TOKYOPOP/status/15881114226">Tokyopops twitter</a>, in response to a fan asking when we could expect anymore of the novels to be released in english, they replied:

<em>"Feb 1, 2011. It'll be two vols in one, telling "Ending Day by Day" story arc. We haven't announced it yet, so tell your friends pls!"</em>

<em>For those that don't know, Ending Day by Day is the story which was told in <strong>Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid</strong>, which would have normally of been released as two seperate novels(upper and lower), but i assume because of the 3 year delay, they decided on making it into a double volume, so you'll get the entire arc. Hopefully this means that we'll finally get the novels based after it, and which haven't been animated, released here. Here's hoping.</em>

Brilliant! It's my favourite of the novels (though I'm more than a little behind on the fan translations for the later ones).

This is great news, still need to get the other two vols first like but this could mean a reprint is in order.
It's really odd that they haven't reprinted anything yet when there's such high demand for them.

Doesn't this mean the book is going to be fatter than Frank Lampard after a buffet?

quite possibly. I mean they've stuck both the upper and lower novels for ending day by day together, and they weren't that short either. So it will probably be at about 5-600 pages if they keep it to the same format as before

@devilrules: Yes, pre-order it NAO. I recommend you find the first three as well if you haven't done so already. They beat the first series easily, but it is the original material it's based off of, so no wonder ;p.

Those who have seen TSR, be in for a surprise ;p

ANN have done a news article on this now as well. I kinda wish we could get the novel covers for 4 and 5 though, they do look nice.
