Full Metal Panic final Light Novel coming out this Spring

Shoji Gatoh confirmed in his blog that he is writing the last Light Novel of his Full Metal Panic franchise, which will be released in Japan this Spring. The author didn't discard the possibility of more short stories though.

I'll be happy as long as the eneviable sequel is called Third Barrage and teh sequel to Black lagoon is called The Third Raid.

Great news but bid Tokyopop drop the novels? I would like to actually own each novel beyond the 3rd one rather than have to resort to translations from the internet.

Anywho, great news. It also comes with news that the 300th issue of Dragon Magazine will have a new short story taking place in Kaname and Sousukes second year at jindai high, so just before certain events occur.

As for a new anime series, at first i thought the blanked out announcement on their magazine cover could be a mention to that, but its not, instead its for Densetsu no Yusha no Densetsu getting an anime. My guess is we won't see an FMP anime announcement until close to or after the final main story novel is released.
