According to a press release by TokyoPop, Natsuki Takaya's heart warming manga series Fruits Basket has surpassed over two million copies in print in the US after its latest volume was released. Fruits Basket is one of (if not the) top selling manga series outside of Japan; a runaway success Takaya is quite modest about... "That definitely flatters and pleases me. Thank you very much. As for a reason, I can't clearly distinguish one, but if people read Fruits Basket and think 'I like this,' then that alone is enough to bring me joy."
The Fruits Basket anime series was first released in the UK by MVM during 2004 - and in January 2007, Revelation Films intend to release a money saving DVD Box-set too.
