She is one of the most interesting and one of the few properly developed characters who proved pivotal to the plot...

Remeber when i first watched the series had Tasker's opinion as well but she does at least begin to understand that she is one by the end, which is why she is one of the most interesting characters. Not quite sure if it is enough to be counted as redemption, but enough not to be turned into free floating hydrogen meh leave it to the philosophers or drunks... wait that's me (the second one anyway)

I know that she does what you said, But i've not seen all of SEED yet watched upto episode 31 then the website i watched it on got deleted. =[

Strange how peoples opinion of Flay alters when you finish the series. Those who are still watching it rarely like her, but by the end people may not like her, but she isn't as reviled. Kira however generally gets more hated as things go on (more for turning into Jesus Yamato).

I havn't seen any other Gundam, ( Except for Wing when it was on Sky, and that was crap, ) so I have no idea what the rest of you are talking about.

I havn't liked him since the first episode that's not come as a surprise.

Nope its 50 eps long, most gundam series are apart from the OVAs, SEEDs sqeuel, SEED DESTINY comes in at 51 eps becaue they had to remake the ending again
As for "Jesus Yamato" as Hopeful_Monster put it, yeah...i didn't like that, i'm sure they could of done better things with him if they hadn't of done that, though it reminds me of an gundam forum i went on where people kept calling him the ultimate coordinator, be cause of his background and then acting like it gave godlike abilties which isn't what ultimate coordinator actually meant when you look back on it.
Actually now that i think about it, i actually prefer the Astray spin offs and Stargazer then the main SEED series
