Fate/Zero boxset

I'm heavily considering buying the Fate/Zero boxset from Aniplex in the USA, my only problem is I don't know if it's region locked or not. This is a big factor for me since I only use my PS3 for watching blu-rays and I have no other means of doing so.

I've looked around but I can't seem to get a good information about it. So I was hoping someone on here may have bought it and would be able to give me an answer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ^^
 
That boxset aint worth the money imo. The series is really good but its too expensive. I might be wrong but it seems aniplex usa stuff is quite expensive.
 
Cryptically Aniplex's own website has its region down as "--".

I have the set but I have no region B devices. I am 99% sure it will be region free (most Japanese stuff is because they're already in the most expensive region) but if there's a way I can confirm for absolute peace of mind, I'm happy to check!

Madoka is definitely region free.

Edit: Just remembered that one of my friends bought it too and he has a UK PS3. I'll ask him to check if nobody else answers before he starts watching it in earnest.

I've been thinking about buying it for a while and i agree it is rather expensive. That's why I want to know if I can actually watch it first before making a final decision.

Yeah I saw they had it down as that region too and I got rather confused about what it meant. I assume it means no region but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Now I have to go through the agonizing thought process of wondering if I should actually buy it...and then do so anyway on an impulse! :D
 
@Rui, did you order your Fate/Zero Blu-ray box set from Rightstuf or elsewhere? Considering dropping the cash for this myself now as well and as that seems to be the place with the cheapest price i wondered what your experience was like if you did get it from there. Have never used them myself. Did you get hit with import duty, given the price it is a bit or a worry of mine?

Yes I did, and it's couriered so you do have to pay customs charges, and they do hurt a little when it's something big like this. The exact value will have changed now but mine was delivered by Fedex and arrived swiftly. At the time it was going cheaper from Amazon Japan (you don't get a translated booklet if you don't order from the US), however that's no longer the case.
