Embarrassing Confession

I'd hoped to keep this quiet until someone else brought it up but...it's time to admit it. I have never worked out how to reply to messages left in my forum profile.

This is one of those moments where you suddenly feel really old and past it...

Could anyone give me a hint so I can stop unintentionally ignoring people who message me that way?

if you go down to your chatbox and click on the person's name (the person contacting you) it will open their profile, scroll down to their chatbox, repy in the box at the bottom and press send ^_^

Hmm, has your internet been playing up recently? if your router loses connection to the internet you have to log back in again. it shouldn't prompt for a log in to view your profile, as im not an admin i can't amend that for you im afraid :/

If you have your internet browser on full screen and scroll to the bottom of the screen (whilst on your profile) it should be a box either on the left or the right (depending on your internets layout) Apart from that i've found that some of the things on the forum differ when im at work, for example i can't see video's and very rarely see pictures in posts, but can see avatars fine. the chatbox on my profile is on the left at work but on the right on my laptop, maybe things will be fully accessible to you from home.

OR

Your both opening the "Forum Profile" that is at the top right of the forum, thats the editter not your actual profile (confusingly) If you click on the profile button below your name in any of your posts it'll take you to your profile.

Any further problems you encounter i can only point in Pauls direction :/

I'm definitely in the profile, here's a screencap (note that the browser is displaying the full width of the profile and is scrolled to the very bottom). Should there be a box there?

I get that problem as well but I don't think it has to do with your IP address changing since I have a static IP. Its most probably got something to do with the way the cookies work.

Nope, wouldn't be the cookies i don't think, you could run a disk clean up and delete all your pointless cache and cookies and see if it makes any difference but i highly doubt it, to be honest on this one im not entirely sure whats the cause,

Well what I meant about the cookies is that they aren't really being stored properly or something is happening to them that cuases you to have to log in again.

Its the cookie that stores your log in information but something is happening to it.

Ok that was very weird. I checked at home - no box here either. I logged out, made a new username and saw the box for the first time ever. Then I logged back in as Rui and BAM - boxes are now showing up. I don't really understand why, but yay!

I've noticed this problem with phpBB and firefox. I runs all right on safari or IE though...

I use IE and get the problem though all it takes is for you to log out and back in again to sort it out.
