This series has tatical series conquer or just plain old hack and slash.

I loved this game good graphics but better the gameplay i can spend hours on it diffrent statergies diffrent angles to try it from.

Since the game is based around a popular late 14th century book the storyline is good,it's not just one story line you get to look at it from all 3kingdoms angles.

This game is a spin of from romance of the three kingdoms holding 11 games to the series.

40 odd playable chacters and at least 7 diffrent stages per chacter you know your gonna be there a little while.

Though i must remind you only dynasty warriors 2 is really challenging it seems as the series goes on it does get easier but still good

I picked up Dynasty Warriors 2 when the PS2 first came out. Being 12 or 13 years of age, I loved it. As time went on though I wanted to buy the next gen of Dynasty warriors and found it too repetitive sadly :(
But for a first time, the game can be a great laugh and good fun

We have the whole series bar the first one and tactics, that includes the Samurai Warriors games as well. The series is quite good, and does have an interesting storyline. You may find that the characters aren't really totally based from the three kingdoms books since the birth and death years are not all mentioned in the three kingdoms novels, but they are in the game. chances are some of the dates where taken from the San guo Zhi as well but there ya go.
Overall i would say i prefered DW3, DW2 was good as well, didn't like DW4 though, thought that was quite boring, but 5 was good again.

Yea i noticed a couple of generals never apeared in the book fu xi and nu wa are an example of that.

dw4 was not good at all since you played at 7 kingdoms once you complete it ,it's done no use playing with the others.

dw5 have some length to it and i'd say best in the series.

for size and so on..yes DW5 was better, i still like DW3 a bit more as it brought a lot more choice for characters, the weapons and the items to the series..thought it was good. i am interested in the DWBB which is meant to be the online one coming out.
Even though the games are based from the novels, the three kingdoms and the san guo zhi(the last one i think is also used for reference) the novels are based on real people from that time frame..or thats what i presume

Of course it is guan yu is the budhist good of war the red white and black in the budhist religion simbolises liu bei guan yu and zhang fei.

Zhuge liang has a book out 70% of the novel is from the orignal documents from the rotk period.

I saw dwbb trailer looks good

Never too sure about the Dynasty Warriors series, whenever I tried it I always got bored with it really fast, just seemed like non-stop button bashing through hundreds of enemies, kinda lacked any real growth for me.
