After reporting last week on some suspected delays for the much-anticipated The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, with an expectation that distributor Manga Entertainment would clarify the situation late next month, we now have confirmation via the company's Twitter account that the film's UK release will be delayed until November - later even that the October release date currently displayed by Amazon.
Although the Tweet in question only specifically references the Blu-Ray edition of the film, it seems likely that both DVD and Blu-Ray format releases will now hit store shelves some time in November. Manga Entertainment have further clarified via Twitter that they are still waiting for delivery of the film's English dub - they aren't expecting to receive this until July, at which point it takes fifteen weeks to produce finished, retail releases of the movie for DVD and Blu-Ray.
