Their latest song. Discuss. Personally, it doesn't really hit me very well, not to say it's a bad song, but it just didn't grip me like when Agitated Screams of Maggots did or Ryoujoku no Ame did when I first heard them all "HELL YEAH" At least it's pointed in the right direction though and more like their older work.

I liked it ^^. I mean, yes, not as good as some of their other songs (ASOM, Cage, Saku, Child Prey ect.), but the begining was good and it had... a sort of mello sound to it. Srsly, send me this, if you've already downloaded it. Though is this from their album, Ouroboros? And, WHAAAT, MTV plays Dir En Grey? ****, since when? O_O

It's always nice to hear Kyo's singing voice properly once in a while. I like it, but I have to agree that it hasn't completely grabbed my attention. I doubt i'd have it on repeat, but it seems like a nice song to listen to sandwiched in between two heavier songs on an album.

aye i agree, good song, but would be annoying on repeat

If it was in English and getting mainstream radio play (and without that pretentious video), it'd get the **** ripped out of it. Oh well.

His singing around 1:55 is quite comical though.

Cheers for the link Lupus - I've been eager to hear their latest.

I really like it. Not the type of song to grab your attention but it makes me hopeful that their next record is going to impress me as much as their others have. Yeah, Dozing Green is better but this one is a nice change of pace.

TBH I've not really heard much pre-Vulgar material but this does sound like their earlier stuff...either that or they're maturing as a band. I don't mind too much since I'm mellowing out in my old age anyway!

The thing that I didn't like about Marrow of a Bone wasn't its heaviness - it was a natural evolution for them I guess - but the fact that they were sounding too nu-metallish. We all know Kyo can out-scream the best of them but like Corey Taylor of Slipknot/Stonesour his full range only comes out when he's singing rather than bellowing profanities. The yelling and thrashing guitars were a refreshing change but I personally think this more relaxed vibe shows of their musical talent, not to mention individuality more.

Agreed on the vid too - I always feel let down by PVs because they never seem to match what's in my head when I hear the song so this one is a nice change compared with their usual shock-rock imagery. It's sophisticated and, I'm using this speculation again, more mature. The Angry Men of Osaka are all growed up! ^_^
