Did anyone record Dragonball from Toonami UK?

Hi

Just wondering, did anyone record the original Dragon Ball when it was airing on Toonami in the UK back around 2004-2005? The Blue Water dub.

I've been looking for the Blue Water dub for quite a while, I was hoping it would air again but dont know when that will happen.

If anyone did record DB from Toonami, I would be willing to buy some sagas off them, it doesnt have to be the actual vhs tapes of the recordings. Basically, if you recorded it using sky+ or dvd recorder, you can easily copy the episodes onto blank dvds which i can buy. Or if you used VHS, you can copy the episodes to DVD and then rip the dvd iso image and burn to blank dvd. I can easily help anyone who would like to do that. It would also preserve the episodes so you can watch them later, and that way you dont part with your original recordings, because you transfer you episodes onto DVD and you can make 2 copies of the dvds, 1 to sell to me the other to keep for yourself, so you never have to lose any episodes yourself if you dont want to. (Or if you think its a long winded process but would still like to sell to me, you can send me your vhs tapes and I can transfer the episodes to DVD and then send you back your vhs tapes along with DVD transfer if you want, as well as paying you for the episodes)

I have some episodes so if you want to sell your episodes it doesnt have to be all 153.

Thanks in advance.

If anyone wants to email me to take this offer up my email is NightSaiyan@googlemail.com

Note: This is not bootlegs because the Blue Water dub has never been released on DVD or any commerical home media. If Blue Water DB was released on DVD, I'd buy it instantly. I own various official releases of Dragonball from Funimation but i purchased them for the Japanese version, I dont like the Funimation version and although the Japanese version is very good, I also like to watch Dragonball in English in a dub i can enjoy, which i do for the Blue Water episodes I have, for the episodes I dont, i am willing to buy them from someone who recorded DB from Toonami.

Oh heck, I might have. I remember recording the whole of DBZ when Toonami showed it in full day blocks back to back, but I can't remember if they showed DB like this, too. If they did, I probably have it somewhere, if it was only ever shown one ep at a time then I don't have it.

They did show Dragonball back to back. Remember what Toonami called the "Hero Marathons"? It was marathons of 4 shows. Dragonball was one of them.

Thanks mate.

I'm looking for episodes from the General blue, Commander red, Baba, Tien, Red ribbon and PiccoloJr (the final tournament) sagas and the 2-3 episodes that Goku goes to West city looking for Bulma. Thats not the whole list just a rough idea.

Its a good idea to transfer your DB, DBZ and DBGT episodes to DVD to preserve them. I recorded some DB episodes and then left the vhs tapes untouched in my cupboard for years. I recently got re interested in Dragonball and bought some Funi DB dvds to watch the Japanese version. Strangly enough, after I got my vhs tapes out and watched some of my Blue water dragonball episodes, I found I enjoyed the dub more now than i did when it was airing. It just seems better and more full of character.

I was tempted to do that at one point, actually, but since I'm more of a subs fan and I've waited so long I'm just going to buy Funi's Dragon Box releases, provided they actually release the whole show like that.

I got them at a reasonable price. I havent got all of them, just got a few. The problem with the dvds is the Japanese audio isnt as good quality as it could be. I may buy the Dragon Box if it gets a release, depends, Japanese audio quality should be better if its like the Dragon Box Z. At the moment I am more interested in the Blue Water dub, though.

I'm pretty sure they are gonna release the whole series like that.

You can buy the Volume 1 for £25 on Amazon and Play's Marketplaces or £34.50 from up1.co.uk if you don't wanna wait 6-11 days :p

Yeah, I bought box one, and I expect them to release the rest, it's just that Funi doesn't have a great track record of late of following through on what they say they're going to do. :/

I bought Dragon Ball Z Dragon Box 1 as well. Its a decent release for Japanese sub fans. If you compare the Japanese audio on the Dragon Box set to the Japanese audio on a Funimation DVD, you'll notice the difference, its significantly improved on the Dragon Box set.
