Since you're wondering, I'll tell you right now it doesn't get any less absurd. Masakuni's forte is bombastic comedy and Mattan 125% delivers in that respect while playing with detective tropes. Keiichiro stays crotchety and Mashiro continues to be a firecracker. It's easily one of the best detective comedies of any medium on par with series like Brooklyn 99 and Commissaire Adamsberg, but if you're looking for more a more weighty mystery to reveal itself, you'll be left waiting a long time.

I appreciate hearing that, thank you! I'm not too bothered about it not providing more weighty mysteries, as I do appreciate it's a comedy first and foremost. I guess we'll see how I get on with Keiichiro going forward. I wouldn't have minded as much if he were a bit older, but 35 is barely anything compared to how he acts. 😅
