I watched it upto around season 3 back when it was still being released as single volumes. I stopped when the last volume had missing subtitles on the end of an episode. Havn't watched it for some time though so I don't know how helpful I would be with questions on the show.

Sure, this might be confusing but I shall try my best to explain.
Does Detective Conan Original Soundtrack 1/2/3/4 have the some tracks that are on Detective Conan Original Soundtrack Super Best 1/2 & Detective Conan Original Soundtrack Selection Best?
If they are all different that means I will try and pick them all, but if the BEST albums has all the tracks from OST cd's then I would buy the BEST cd's
But if the BEST x 3 cd's only contain some from the 4 OST I may just go for the OST. But if they are all different then thats all 4 OST and 3 BEST cd's I will have to try and pick up.

As far as I know, the main OSTs are the best if you want everything, and the Super Bests are compilations of the most popular songs from those (and, it looks like, some of the tracks from the movies etc as well which are probably on different OSTs). If you want absolutely everything you'd do better to collect the individual OSTs and only look out for the Super Bests and other compilations if there's a unique track.
The Selection Best is a rerecording, so it's separate to the others and might sound different. Thing of it like a greatest hits CD but with the songs rerecorded (some might be rearranged too, I don't have it so...).

Thanks for the info, I will most probably stick with the OST 1,2,3,4.
I did compare Detective Conan Original Soundtrack Super Best 1 with the OST and like you said most of the songs on there are from the OST and Movie OST.
Except for these which I couldn't find:
Track 12: British style house
Track 17: Insight
Track 21: Kimi ga Ireba
Track 23: Conan’s crisis
Like you said are these exclusives to Super Best 1 or did I just not look hard enough and find them on the other albums there are out there. I did not compare Super Best 2 but I could see the same problem,

I googled (in Japanese) and indeed, it looks as though there are some unique tracks on at least the first Super Best CD, so it's likely the other is the same.
For the Selection Best, I meant rerecording, as in they have been performed again a decade after the originals. They will likely sound slightly different to the original versions.
If it were me I'd start with the four main OSTs, then consider the other three based on my enthusiasm at that point (as you only get a handful of new tracks on the Super Bests).

I posted this again as I couldn't find the original thread I did a while ago.
So Conan fans! I need your help.
If you are familiar with there CD's/OST? I'm talking about the BGM ones. Not OP/ED CD's which I did mention before.
I have bought OST1 and plan getting 2,3,4 and the movies. I see that there is Detective Conan Super Best 1 and 2.
Is there any songs on Super Best that are not available on OST1,2,3? I can see that a track called If You're There (Sung by Lori) on there which was released on a single and there is another one but what about the no singing ones just pure bgm.
I don't want to pick these Super Best if they are already on the OST1,2,3. Could someone please narrow it down with the tracks list.

I have gone through Super Best tracks 1-7ish and compared the tracks name to the tracks name on the OST and either I can't find them meaning they were unreleased or unique as they sound slightly different or they sound same but either longer or shorter
