I heard a while back there was a Death Note game for DS in Japan and was gonna be coming to the UK??

Ive not heard anything else for a long time now.

Anyone know anything??

Right, I haven't kept up with current affairs but what I know is there are two, The first for the L x Kira battle and the second for the Near/Mello x Kira battle. I say battle but I mean "fight of the brains". I really have doubt we shall see it over here. Even if we do see it stateside, Which is fairly unlikely. I don't think these shall be that good-a game anyway, Probably just like a uberly poor made version of Ace Attorney.. except.. Without the Attorney and with a Death Note.

So.. Yeah... If you can read Kanji import and play, If not, Just forget about it.

 nope i cant read Kanji. *sigh* Death Note fans can be dissaponted sometimes seriously, the films looked really cheap. I wish they'd release a GOOD game.

i have the imported phoenix wright 2 game from japan and it does have english subtitles...so u may never know death note might still be playable ^_^

I've got my fingers crossed that there might possibly be a translation. I've been hearing rumours about a translation of the 1st game (the LvsKira game), but it hasn't been confirmed.

Am I the only one wondering how Death Note works as a game?
Plays like Pheonix Wright but can write down peoples name in the Death Note using the Death Note touch screen and stylus like you can in the DS chat?

Buying licensed games is usually a very bad idea, so even if the DN DS game comes out I wouldn't bother :]

Aw that's not true there's been some good license games...haven't there? Though in all seriousness i can't see Death Note working as a game other then by the likes of Hotel Dusk, with you being on the role of the police trying to catch a "Kira" (let's for sake of argument say its not the real Kira)

There's been, like, 2 examples of a well-used license. The Chronicles of Riddick game and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Yep, that's about it! :]

I like how CitizenGeek can admit that games being spawned from movies are generally bad, but can't admit movies being spawned from games are mostly bad. Hur Hur Hur.

I liked FF VII, wait, the game came first... =D
Anyway, I did like the Naruto games so far and DB Budokai was decent as well.

Anime-related games I have deeply enjoyed, purchased and finished (versions are the ones I have before anyone freaks out and says I have the original platform wrong):

Slayers (SNES)
Slayers Royal 1 and 2 (PS1) (Slayers Wonderful however sucked)
Eva Girlfriend of Steel (PS1)
Rurouni Kenshin RPG (PS1)
Ranma 1/2 fighting games (SNES) (the PS1 one was horrible)
Jump Superstars/Ultimate Stars
Utena (Saturn)
Naruto's Narutimate series (PS2)

These are just the memorable ones off the top of my head right now. I also enjoyed the DBZ Burst Limit demo on PSN but am too cheap to get it at the moment. A lot of spinoff games of any kind are terrible but if you sift through the chaff there are some real gems too.

Don't care if people reply and say "but blah game SUCKS" because I enjoyed them and I rarely bother finishing games ;p
